Description

Umbilical catheter is used to catheterize the umbilical vein in newborns for infusion and transfusion therapy or parenteral nutrition.

  • Umbilical catheter is made of transparent thermoplastic implantable non-toxic polyvinyl chloride.
  • The thermoplastic material softens due to the temperature of the surrounding tissues.
  • The open distal end and edges of the catheter are carefully trimmed and rounded to ensure atraumatic insertion.
  • Radiopaque band on the catheter tube.
  • Luer connector with a sealed cap (withstands multiple opening and closing).
  • Indelible length markings with set pitch.
